I just came across a fabulous article that I had to share with you. It's 30 Content Marketing Truths that I suggest everyone live by. The most important message that the article's author delivers is that content is at the essance of all branding and cutomer relationships. Content is a company's point of differentiation. It is made up of your thoughts, ideas, and personality, and all of those things are irreplaceable.
It then goes on to discuss content as the heart of community building, and addresses the importance of blogging on a few points. Firstly, that a blog can and should be a core part of communicating with and marketing to your customers, and secondly, that the blogging community will be more important than traditional media (if not already).
There are so many informal communications channels currently available that brands are not only recommended to use but required to use if they want to stay on top of their business. Instead of shying away from these channels out of fear or stubborness, embrace them. Finally you have the chance to speak directly to your audience and engage them in a real way.... so do it!
